Last tuesday Trump gave his 1 hour and 47 minute State of the Union speech to Congress. While most was the theatrical clown show that has come to define SOTU speeches, with lemming like Congresspeople jumping up and clapping at every fragment of sentence, the first 30 minutes or so was about how great the US economy was doing—filled with misrepresentations and outright lies about the US economy’s current condition.
