Former national security adviser John Bolton’s book, “The Room Where It Happened,” isn’t even out yet but it’s causing shockwaves–and in a trial in which he’s not a witness and probably won’t be, even though he’s willing to testify.
Republicans are all-out blocking Democrats from getting Bolton and other potential witnesses to testify about his firsthand knowledge of Trump’s questionable “quid-pro-quo” dealings with Ukraine and other countries.
Bolton, who has said he will testify if subpoenaed, is seen as a lynchpin in the legal case against Trump.
Chief Justice John Roberts has not yet ruled on whether witness testimony will be allowed in Trump’s impeachment trial.
