Dr. Paul Marik is the former Distinguished Professor of Internal Medicine and Chair of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Marik holds fellowships in the Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American College of Physicians and the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists. He has authored over 400 peer reviewed journal papers, 50 book chapters and four books on critical care. In 2017, the American College of Physicians he was awarded with the National Teacher of the Year award. Early into the pandemic Dr Marik co-founded with Dr Pierre Kory the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance with other physicians to develop an effective protocol for treating SARS-2 infections, which included hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin and intravenous Vitamin C.
