CAMILLUS, N.Y. — An updated immunization policy for New York schools requires compliance in order for a child to be in the classroom.
Tuesday was day one for students attending West Genesee schools. When getting on the bus today, a form that may have been in that backpack was an updated immunization form, detailing the shots the child has or hasn’t had.
“If someone hasn’t taken the proper precautions they could get sicker than normal than someone who has the proper precautions but maybe is sick,” said Dr. Chris Brown, Superintendent of West Genesee schools. “That is what I believe is behind this big push.”
