Listening to the dying is very important as they often can tell us much more than we expect. It’s also a way that we can help them move on.
Often, they are straddling 2 worlds at the same time and are starting to have experiences from the other side. It’s confusing to be that way and their language sometimes doesn’t make sense. They might be speaking in metaphors.
Sometimes, people whose brains weren’t operating well can regain great clarity just before they go. They also might have barely eaten for weeks and all of a sudden want a sumptuous parting meal.
There are so many surprises that the dying present. They might even tell of parted relatives who have now come to take them across.
The dying are seldom somber or morose and it’s healing for all to listen to their excitement about what they’re experiencing at the end. A lot of love can be expressed.
