Description: DDr. JacobTeitelbaum is an internist, who now retired and as a young man he was healed of Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia by holistic practitioners, which convinced him to pursue a medical career as a holistic doctor after medical school was completed. In this interview he states the importance of one remedy is not for all. You have to test yourself at home to get to the bottom of why you can’t sleep. Some people don’t have enough protein in their system and may need to eat a hard boiled egg before retiring, others are suffering from immune system problems, others don’t know how to calm their anxiety, some have too much light and electrical equipment in their bedroom even if it’s just a blue night light, it will trigger your brain to wake up and stay awake; and then there are some who can only get four hours of sleep, no more, He has recommendations for these and other situations so we can learn to overcome the problem and how to view it; getting to sleep and staying asleep. He works with specific supplements which he himself takes, because he feels at the age of 73 he travels and lectures, so he still needs his 9 hours of sleep. This amount of hours is not true for everyone but he points out how some people feel guilty if they need more than 6 hours of sleep. Eight to nine hours is the recommended amount to stay healthy and help the body detox, and reverse problems like obesity which is a primary concern in the US today. If you don’t resolve this problem and come to understand how they operate within your own body, things like losing weight might not work anyway because you will gain the weight right back, he points out.
