On this edition of The Intelligence Hour Kevin Shipp interviews former CIA Officer John Kiriakkou.  John was the first US official to blow the whistle on the CIA torture program, which the government said didn’t exist.  John considered the program torture and a violation of the US Constitution.  Because of his courage in coming out, John was arrested and sentenced to thirty months in prison, while senior government officials who actually did commit espionage, received only a slap on the wrist.  This is, without a doubt, the most fascinating discussion on whistleblowing, and what the government will do to silence any intelligence officer who dares reveal its illegal activity.  John  Kiriakou is a true American hero. He has emerged as a powerful voice for freedom, the Constitution and speaking truth to power.
