Derek Chauvin, convicted three months ago of killing Floyd, was sentenced to 22 1/2 years in prison, even though Chauvin used illegal methods to arrest Floyd (including cutting off Floyd’s air supply by kneeling on his neck for an estimated 9 1/2 minutes).
