The Conspiracy Guy #20: The cruise missile attack in Syria has turned the Trump administration into the laughing stock of the world. Assad surrendered his stock of chemical weapons after an earlier “false flag” attack in 2013, when Russia produced a 50-page dossier proving that it had been done by the rebels, not by the government of Syrian, and negotiated the removal of all chemical weapons from his arsenal under the supervision of the UN. Turkey appears to have provided the chemical devices, which replaced the munitions that were stored there, after Russia informed the US that the government was planning an attack on the depot. An anti-Assad reporter even tweeted about the publicity that would surround the event 24-hours in advance. That this should have happened required the replacement of Michael Flynn by H.R. McMaster, in the first place, and taking Steve Bannon, who would never have stood for it, out of the NSC, in the second. Trump has now squandered his greatest asset in dealing with Vladimir Putin, his apparent sincerity in wanting to improve relations with Russia, which has now been permanently scuttled. Like a wife whose husband has cheated with another woman, that trust can never be restored. And the damage has been compounded by announcements from Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State, that Russia must choose between Syrian and America. We now have situation where the inmates really are running the asylum right here in the USA.
