Timed to coincide with the 17th annual Oakland International Film Festival, this week’s Project Censored show explores the cultural value of film,
and offers brief descriptions of some of this year’s OIFF offerings. Also on the show, a conversation on the California roots of thrash-metal music,
with the creator of a new documentary about the genre, a documentary that will be shown at the Festival.
