Dr. Joseph Ting – Prescription Drugs: Doctors and Drug Companies Create an Unhealthy Dynamic

The potential influence of marketing strategies used by drug production companies on the prescribing habits of doctors has been the subject of recent intense debate. Currently, doctors’ groups and the manufacturers themselves espouse professional and industry self-regulation in the marketing of drugs or medical equipment to doctors. The argument is that these voluntary measures, teamed with personal integrity, clinical objectivity and being …

Madeleine Albright Unhinged Nutcase?

Chuck Collins – Clueless CEOs at the Top

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that “Populist Tone Rankles America’s Executives.” Apparently the CEOs and board members of big American companies are “increasingly frustrated” by the anti-business rhetoric of both parties, and concerned such sentiments might translate into meaningful public policy change after the election. “The precipitousness of the political debate is a little scary right now,” Boeing CEO Jim McNerney …

Infectious Myth – Judicial Abuse of Children – 10.13.15

David discusses judicial abuse of children in custody battles with the sisters Hope and Elizabeth Loudon. Just a few years ago, when they were 14 and refused to spend time with their father, they were put in handcuffs and spent several days locked in a juvenile detention facility before the judge backed down and eventually gave full custody to the mother. Many other situations do not end nearly as well. The sisters wrote an article in the Washington Post describing a situation in which three children claimed their father was abusive, but this led to them being sent to juvenile detention. An international outcry ended up changing this to a summer camp. But afterwards, rather than giving custody to the mother, even partial custody, the judge awarded full custody to the father.

It is worth repeating again and again that the bulk of America’s mainline media is owned and controlled by a mere 6 corporations. This, of course, means that unless you’re already consciously avoiding these mainline media sources, then most of the news and entertainment that makes it onto your screen and into your mind comes from a small pool of corporate sources, all of which play …

John Feffer – Trump Takes on the World

It was 1972. The flamboyant rock star Alice Cooper, not quite a household name at that point in England, was booked to play London’s Wembley Stadium. Shortly before the concert date, only a couple hundred of the 7,000 available tickets had been sold. Facing an epic failure, the redoubtable rock music promoter Shep Gordon emblazoned the side of a truck …

Bill Gates is celebrated in the media for the same pandemic warnings that get other people labeled ‘kooks’ by J. D. Heyes

What does the world’s richest man fear most? Something that, were someone in the alternative media to utter it, would invite ridicule and disdain. Yet few in the mainstream media bat an eye or bother to raise doubts when Microsoft founder Bill Gates says his biggest fear is a global pandemic that could swallow nations and kill tens of millions …
