It’s Our Money with Ellen Brown – You’ve Been Strip Mined! – 04.13.16

You’ve Been Strip Mined! That’s how Ellen’s guest Les Leopold describes what has happened to the constructive role of capital, such as investment in research and development, expansion and improvement of services and industries. He calls it “economic strip-mining” in which capital speculators like hedge funds strip the equity of companies, countries and consumers to feed their insatiable desire for short term profits – outcomes be damned. We also introduce the new national project and campaign called “What Wall Street Costs America” – the start of a national conversation revealing the massive extraction of public dollars by Wall Street interests. And Matt Stannard reviews presidential politics and bank reform on the Public Banking Report.

Trends This Week – People Do Have The Power! – 04.13.16

Direct Democracy, a longstanding guiding tenet of Gerald Celente and the Trends Research Institute, can work. Celente breaks down the failures of our leaders on political, foreign policy and economic fronts and demonstrates how Direct Democracy is the way out, the solution. He points to the recent Dutch vote against the European Union-Ukraine agreement that called for closer and more strategic security and trade agreements with Ukraine. But a vote of the Dutch people, albeit non-binding, rejected the deal. Direct Democracy in action. The referendum, pulled off by the Eurosceptics movement in record time and efficiency, shows how a direct vote by the people can work. Love Lust And Laughter – 04.12.16

Role play and fantasy are two great ways to get closer to your partner. For one, they involve a certain degree of trust because opening up about a sexual fantasy can be scary. And with role play, you really have to be comfortable with another person to pretend to be someone else. Carl Frankel has a chapter in his book “Secrets of the Sex Masters” called “Fantasy, Role Play and Communication.” (www.CarlFrankel.com) Carl’s position is that no are no mind crimes; this led to a discussion about “bad” fantasies – as in unacceptable. Between a couple consent is the rule! This is where communication is so important…You may feel really vulnerable. Dr. Diana and Carl got off topic here and there: it was fun! Improv is great for anyone to do…Don’t negate your partner. Say Yes and. To quote Carl, “Fantasy and role play are wonderful personal growth opportunities if you embrace them in that spirit…Have fun with your fantasies and with the people you play with. Giggling is encouraged…but optional. ” I encourage you to listen to this wise, informative program!

David interviews Dr. Stefan Lanka, educated as a virologist, but who doesn’t want to use the term because he no longer believes in disease causing viruses. They talk about his early experiments with a virus-like object he found in marine algae, his early concerns about the HIV theory, and his recent court cases with the measles virus. When Lanka put up a monetary prize for someone who could prove the measles virus existed, a doctor came forwards with six classic measles papers, although stunningly, Lanka reports that the doctor didn’t feel he needed to read them. Lanka lost the first court case, but won on appeal. Lanka is also a supporter of Hamer’s “New Medicine”, often referred to as “German New Medicine”, although he is concerned about the racist views of its creator.
