On the Democratic side, there’s nary a whimper from the candidate who’s been winning the popular vote but lagging in party delegate votes. Bernie Sanders is playing by party rules, hoping to win delegate and super delegate votes from Hillary Clinton at the party’s nominating convention (in Philadelphia) in July.
But there’s an all-out war in the Republican camp, with Donald Trump, the party’s winningest candidate, railing against a “corrupt” and “crooked” system that is denying him his fair share of delegates. Trump isn’t waiting to persuade nominating delegates to switch at the GOP’s national convention in Cleveland; the party’s “rules,” he says, are patently unfair because they are being manipulated to favor the will and choice of the party elite.
Leid Stories in a commentary contends that the battle over delegates and the charges of corruption in the parties’ primary process are one of the best gifts the duopoly can give. It brings into plain view why neither party can be trusted to respect the sanctity of the people’s vote.
CAUTION!! EXPATS ARE BUYING INTO A REAL ESTATE BUBBLE AT IT’S PEAK- MOST WILL LOSE AND NEVER CASH OUT:
Unfortunately, a good percentage of Gringos and Expats in Latin America have bought (or are buying) into the peak of the Latin Real estate bubble. How would they even know? Yes, everyone wants their little piece of paradise and as long as Latin vacation properties are remain cheaper than US vacation properties (not necessarily so) they think they’d better buy in now. A few short years ago buying Latin real estate seemed like such a no brainer but all things must end.., and this one will end badly. Bubbles that over-expand will deflate, bottom out and burn the last suckers in. Sure, some Gringo buyers who got in early found they could flip properties over and over at nice profits… and those stories help drive the bubble as greater fools rush in. Few if any recognize the ominous signs even now (bubble sign in itself). Even this late in the game fools still trickle in but NOT rushing in like they used to. Meanwhile, many fools are find they’re stuck, cash poor, in too deep, with too many properties and too few new suckers…

Dwight L. In 2003, he became board certified in nutrition by the Certification Board for Nutrition Specialists, of the American College of Nutrition, and in 2007 he became Board Certified in Integrative and Holistic medicine through the American Board of Holistic Medicine.
Dr. McKee’s experience in medical research, nutritional science, immunology, chemistry, oncology, and complementary medicine make him one of the most knowledgeable researchers and clinicians worldwide.

– Do I get occasional hate mail and complaints directed at myself or the Expat Files show? Off course, but I have pretty thick skin. On that note, today we have just such an email of complaint from a Canadian listener. Since Canadians are generally nicer and more civil than us guys from Chicago (or Cleveland), this listener is kind and gentle about his complaints and even throws in a backhanded compliment or two. -Today we have a discussion about gringos and their use and abuse of the Spanish language. You’ll not hear this stuff anywhere else.
-Early on (or in due time) nearly every Expat Gringo or Gringa has a bad day or two: mostly when dealing with Latin bureaucracy, lousy customer service or Latin tardiness that leads to unintended consequences. True, Gringos do rage and blow up in public. I’ve done it myself. However, there are laid back Expats who don’t necessarily explode in frustration but merely count to 10 or 20 (or 200) and fume and seethe internally. -Supposed USA real-estate “gurus” and their seminars are rolling through in Latin America as we speak. Talk about slick! They’re selling off condos in Miami to upscale Latins who are dying to have bragging rights in what they consider the northern Latin “Mecca”. Yup, just 10% down- and buyers also get the huge side benefit of a special US immigration “investors’ visa and automatic permanent residency for the buyer (and family) along with the deal. Its stark proof that Latins don’t do their housing homework and that they’ve never had a US housing market history lesson.

Investigative journalist Paul DeRienzo, who has been reporting on the catastrophic consequences of America’s military and corporate nuclear-development and waste-disposal operations and programs, reports that the City of St. Louis has come up with an evacuation plan, should a “catastrophic event” occur at a landfill, near Ferguson, containing radioactive waste.
“Much has been written about the poverty and deep-seated racism in Ferguson,” DeRienzo says, “but little has been said of the environmental racism” besieging the city.
Samaria Rice—the mother of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was shot and killed by a rookie police officer in Cleveland last Nov. 22—and lawyers representing the family on Friday called for an independent special prosecutor to handle the case. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty has not yet presented the case to a grand jury, but has released two “expert” reports concurring that the officer’s actions were “reasonable.”
Alton H. Maddox Jr., an expert on police-brutality cases, including cases that set a precedent for the appointment of special prosecutors, raises questions about the lawyers’ strategies.
